Bike Fun International (BFI)

Bike Fun International is 100% Dutch owned company situated in Kopřivnice town, near Ostrava – 3rd biggest city in Czech Republic, 10 km from local Airport Ostrava.

Bike Fun International was founded in January 2002, current production capacity is approx. 110.000 bikes per year. The company has around 180 experienced employees.

The significant part of the production is intended for export – our most important customers are from Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Austria, 20% of produced bikes are intended for Czech market (Superior, STR, Rock Machine bikes).
Location of company

The BFI company is located within the area of TATRA truck plant in Kopřivnice with traditionally high educated engineering population since TATRA truck factory has more than 150 years tradition.
Stock of components

The strategy of Bike Fun International is long-term focus on quality, stability and reliability of deliveries from the suppliers. The frames and forks are imported from China, the major part of other components is from the EU countries.
Paint shop - "wet" painting

Since August 2003 Bike Fun International started with wet painting of frames and other parts in its own new modern fully automatic painting shop. The "wet" technology is much better than powder painting because it is using 3 paint layers – after the phosphate first primer paint, second colour paint and last powder glossy or matt transparent paint. The customers can choose from a wide variety of colour tones.
Decal department

Frames are developed and decals designed by our company or according to design of our customers. Higher range of bicycles is provided with decals under the lacquer.
Wheel department

Bike Fun International invested into new wheel line from Holland Mechanics with computer operated tighting of spokes and stabilizing of wheels. The rim tape is put automatically by machine.
Production - assembly of bikes

The current production capacity is around 110 000 bikes per year and it should be increased by 15% every year. Bike Fun International is using very modern US origin information system that helps control logistic, production planning with MRP and APS with focus on "just-in-time" planning and delivery.
SUPERIOR TEAMS (S&H SUPERIOR, SUPRIDERS)

S&H SUPERIOR and SUPRIDERS - MTB racing teams ride on SUPERIOR bicycles. An important requirement for our success is the technical equipment of the racers, and especially of bikes. These teams have cooperated for a long time with the company Bike Fun International, a producer of SUPERIOR bikes, which supplies this team with top mountain and road bikes and the whole range of necessary spare parts.

历史

BIKE FUN International s.r.o. (BFI) is a new company dealing with production and sales of bicycles and bicycle parts. BFI started its activity in January 2002. It is 100% owned by a group of Dutch investors. It focuses on production of all types of bikes including mountain bikes, trekking, road as well as children bikes in different model ranges. The product line includes also full-suspension bikes, representing the higher category of bikes.

BFI bought brand name "SUPERIOR" and produces bicycles intended for Czech market under this brand name. The SUPERIOR brand is one of the the best-selling local brands in the Czech republic. BFI plans to produce 105 000 bikes this year. 75% of this quantity is intended for foreign markets and 25% for domestic market.

To improve the planning process BFI bought a very modern US origin computer system that helps to control logistic and production planning with MRP and APS with focus on timely delivery to our customers. Our strategy is long term focus on quality, stability and reliability to our suppliers and customers.
