发展历史

2010环法阿姆斯特朗佩戴GIRO头盔

Giro头盔的诞生是在一间车库里，是由一名叫做Jim Gentes的人制作的，当时是1985年。Jim有了这个想法以后，就开始和他工作在美国宇航局的朋友一起做起了这个头盔（宇航局的人来做头盔会不会有 点大材小用？）。他们设计了GIRO Prolight，在当时这可是具有革命性意义的设计突破。这款头盔比当时市面上的所有款式都要轻大概一半的重量。当然保护性能也丝毫没有打折扣。由于它 的出色性能，这款头盔一经推出就迅速得到市场的认可。在1989年的环法中，车手GREG LEMOND戴着这款头盔以破历史纪录的领先优势赢得了最后一个赛段，在计时赛段刷新了领先50秒的领先记录，而最终以8秒的领先优势穿走黄衫，这次比赛 更是让这款头盔大放异彩。
