品牌名称来源于1957年公司自行开发生产的滑雪用弹性裤，该产品的零售业务在当时取得了空前的成功，以至于DESCENTE后来成为整个公司的标识, 象征着优质、创新和实用。DESCENTE以其适用于滑雪，溜冰等不同体育领域的运动功能性服装而享誉全球。通过在全球范围向多项体育比赛提供赞助和支持，DESCENTE逐渐成为体育运动的形象大使。通过提供满足运动员们真实需求的运动服装，来帮助提高整个社会对体育运动的活跃追求，引导社会对健康生活态度的认知，致使DESCENTE获得更多的关注和尊重，豪迈步入新世纪。

技术

D-Laser – Proprietary laser cutting and welding system that performs intricate and detailed design work. D-Laser allows designers to add a new level of detail and embellishment that was previously impossible to achieve using traditional cut and sew methods.

Super Sonic – A seamless welding technique that bonds fabrics together using supersonic waves. The three-layered coated fabric and backing tape gives the seams strength that is able to survive the most vigorous use without adding bulk or weight.

Motion 3D – Motion 3D patterns are designed to allow the garment to accomodate and mirror the sports specific movements the body makes as it stretches, moves and turns during skiing.

Heat Navi – The visible rays of the sun are largely blocked by the outer shell layer of a garment, but one type – infrared rays – are able to penetrate right through to the lining and insulating layers. Using Heat Navi in these internal layers allows for the efficient conversion of infrared rays into heat. Effective in all weather conditions, Descente’s exclusive Heat Navi is produced using recycled polyester products and a special carbon material.
